Cubbi Privacy Policy

Who we are
Cubbi is made by Didado Design LLC, Ohio, USA ("we"). This policy covers the Cubbi iPhone app.
What stays on your phone
Your items, places, photos, dates, prices, notes, shopping list and settings are stored only on your device. We have no copy of them. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or your computer, Apple's backup may include Cubbi's data; that is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
Camera and photos
Cubbi uses the camera to scan barcodes, read dates from labels and take item photos. All of this happens on your phone. Images and recognized text are never uploaded.
Barcode lookups
When you scan a barcode, Cubbi asks the free Open Beauty Facts, Open Food Facts and Open Products Facts databases for the product's name. Only the barcode number is sent. Like any website, those services can see your device's IP address. Their handling of requests is covered by the Open Food Facts privacy policy.
Reminders
Expiration reminders are scheduled on your phone as local notifications. Nothing is sent to us or to a push server.
Purchases
Cubbi Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment; we never receive your name, email or card details. The app only checks with Apple whether Pro is active.
Backups and exports
Backups, CSV exports and PDF reports are files you create and choose where to send. We don't receive them.
Children
Cubbi collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Deleting your data
Delete items in the app, or delete the app to remove all of its data from your phone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
